Inspection Services

For most people buying a car is the second most expensive purchase after their home. Few people buy a house without the safeguard of a survey, so when it comes to buying a car, why not enjoy the same “peace of mind” with a Professional Inspection and report?

Before you part with your hard-earned money and buy a vehicle to transport you and your family consider these:

  • Every year 190,000 cars are written off by Insurers, is this car one of those?
  • Is it a “cut-n-shut”? or an insurance write off (There are many about).
  • Millions of cars are generally unroadworthy, have major defects or other damage.
  • That new MOT Certificate is no guarantee of roadworthiness the day after the test!
  • Most people know something about cars but can get blinded by the vendor or the shiny paintwork and forget the important checks.
  • It is always useful to get a second opinion even if you can do your own initial checks.

 Buying Online?

Thinking of buying a car online from sites such as eBay? Yes, this is a good way to buy and you will save money, however one thing you must remember- It is still the same Motor Trade, with the old pitfalls, only now, the buyer in most cases, does not even have an opportunity to view the vehicle or road test it before its delivery to your doorstep. If you bought the car from a distance away, imagine the hassle of having to have repairs carried out.   We can inspect it on your behalf and give you an unbiased, honest opinion, quickly – before you buy.

Problem with a recent purchase? Help is at hand.

We carry out inspections in the event of a dispute with Vendors, Repairers and Manufacturers regarding vehicle quality, poor / incorrect repairs, damage and reports for the rejection of a vehicle.

We can check and report on anything from an area of poor quality paintwork to a twisted bodyshell or failed engine or gearbox.

Selling a car?

An inspection report can add real value enabling you to sell with confidence.

Car Data Check

Data Checks are carried out on all pre purchase inspections as a free service to our clients.

The Data Check is undertaken by EXPERIAN Ltd, who collect vehicle data from DVLA, Insurance companies, Finance Companies and the Police.

This check confirms: Vehicle details i.e. registration number, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN),  Make, model, door plan, colour, date of first registration in UK, year of manufacture, transmission type, engine number, fuel type engine capacity. These items are then confirmed (where possible/visible) by the inspection engineer on the vehicle.

More importantly, the Free Car Data Check searches information categories for any outstanding finance on the vehicle, any Police interest, stolen vehicles, insurance losses, major accident damage, condition alert, high risk cars, number plate transfers and change of colour.
